Since I primarily work from home I’ve been really working on my coffee making skills and been experimenting in new brewing styles. Espresso just seems too complex, expensive and too large of a cleaning hassle and a friend suggested Turkish coffee. After doing some research pots like this one seemed like a quick and easy way to make Turkish coffee so I thought I would give it a try. Delivery was quick and in original box and plastic bags. This pot and the heating element are really solid and the quality of everything feels really nice. The red color even matched out kitchen. It cleans up well and it was easy. The opening on the pot is large enough to get your hand inside to wipe/clean which I know can be a problem with some of these pots. I’ve tried making two cups so far and I’m still working with it. I tried grinding my own coffee but don’t think I could get it fine enough for a Turkish brew. This pot heats up incredibly fast so you have to pay attention to avoid a boilover. You can either remove the pot from the base or “toggle” the on/off switch to keep it overheating during the brew process. I’m going to try it a few more times with the right type of coffee but I also think I’ll be using this pot regularly for heating milk and water.
